The First Day of School is Like No Other.
We can't believe she started kindergarten, but here we are.
I swear it seemed like yesterday that I drove her home in her little white outfit and here she is as a strong and fearless five year old getting on the bus for school. No tears. No fuss. Just sheer excitement and anticipation of new friends and adventures.
She was up before the alarm. The day prior we practiced for kindergarten but this was the real deal and she was ready.
After our practice bus ride and we were getting ready for bed and I mentioned that they had a big TV in her room. "No Daddy, those are for learning". Oops, sorry.
I made pancakes for breakfast and because my MIL was here with some other family members there was no lack of picture taking. There was so much picture taking that at one point she proclaimed that she was done with pictures. I don't blame her one bit.
We were out in the driveway about a good half hour before we needed to be and there was a lot of time for photos and then before we knew it we could hear the bus! It's coming
And just like that the bus was here! and we had to go and get on the bus:
I'm so proud of her. And then before you knew it - she was home again!
Just wait until she realizes she has to do it again tomorrow.
