A Trip to the Mall
How busy could it be on a Black Friday?
Black Friday is here in the USA. The day to buy big screen TV's and everything else on sale
It's also the day to not go to the mall. Unless you absolutely need to. I did not want to go. I know the traffic and crowds will be long and full. I know the lineup at the Starbucks drive through up the street will be spilling on to the street. I know I did not want to go to the mall with my child and MIL in tow.
I went to the mall
This wasn't really what I thought I would be doing today, but that seems to be a theme with me lately. I have lost all independent thought it seems.
My MIL is here visiting and she was determined to go to the mall. Today of all days.
To buy pants for the child, for crying out load
It's not like the child does not have pants. We have pants. She is not pant-less. She could use a couple more pair, but there's no great shortage.
Unless, you're my MIL. Then you must buy the pants now.
We went to the mall and bought pants. I know better than to disobey.
It was fine. Kind of.
Was it busier than usual? OMG Yes
Did we lose my MIL in the sea of people for a half hour. OMG Yes.
Did the child get a huge frozen yogurt with sour patch kids candies sprinkled on top? OMG Yes.
Did I survive Black Friday 2024? OMG NEVER AGAIN.
