Get a Hobby

Technically, BW is off from teaching for the next month. She's got lots of work to do but one can stare at the screen for only so long and one needs a release. It used to be that she didn't quite know what to do with herself, but now she has a hobby!

BW is no longer bored because she has taken up painting.

Yes, painting. With paint.

This is big news. Hobbies aren't really BW's thing. She's more of the one to have an idea and then proceed to do the idea and then realize that it might not have been such a good idea after all. Also, we're going to need a mop. And towels.

Now that I think of it - it's kind of like how I got here: she thought I was a good idea at first but now.......eh, she's not so sure. ❤️

So, back to the painting: She's painting. Not the the kitchen needs repainting type of painting but with brush and canvas and even a tiny little easel.

She's busy watching YouTube videos of people showing her how to paint and then trying her best to get there on her own.

This started a few months ago I think when on a lark she took an evening craft course and something lit a fire under her and now here we are. I now have 2 painters in the family.

So, without further ado I present to you the latest artworks she has painted.

I always admired the folks that could see and then make it happen on paper or canvas or whatever medium. Heck, I don't know how the graffiti artists do it so well.

Painting is a skill BW has and it's a great lesson for the child too: You don't have to be good at it - you just have to have fun.

And if you ask me, Space Dogs are kind of fun. 🐾
