OMG you guys, the candy.
the beginning
I have all this candy in 3 huge bowls. We’re going to have to give some away. I don’t know if it was the fact that she skipped up to every house or what but she made out like a bandit this year. She was loved by everyone.
One house she got HANDFULS of candy thrown at her.
She wanted to go all the way over to the end of the street where they have a ridiculous amount of decorations and we were not disappointed on either candy or atmosphere as these folks went all out.
She loved, loved, loved Halloween this year and as much as I am not much into this holiday, I have to say that I had the most fun watching her have all the fun. :)
The icing on the cake was the lady across the street. In the past she came back with a huge chocolate bar but this time you would think it was Christmas - she was given toys, stickers, a ball and enough sugar to make the dog sick for some time.
It was just…overload.
The costume was a breeze this year too. A dress and a magic wand and she was a princess and happy to be one, skipping down the street singing to herself.
As she said to me: Best Day Ever.
And I have to tell ya…I agree.
7 years old is PEAK Halloween.
It really was the best day ever.
