Thankful
I'm Thankful there's Pie. Especially the round kind.
Its the eve of Canadian Thanksgiving as I write this, and as one does they stop and reflect on what they're thankful for. Here's mine:
- I'm thankful that I survived 3 days alone with my daughter. I don't think I could have done it if it weren't for the McDonald's Happy Meal and Paw Patrol.
- I'm thankful my wife is back. I will be quietly uber-ing away when she has to deal with the over-tired and over-stimulated 5 year old in the morning.
- I'm thankful I want for nothing. Sure there's always a new gadget I am eyeing but we really want for nothing. Well, except a dishwasher that would work reliably but I am probably asking a lot here
- I'm thankful for pie. So is Target when I have to go shopping for bigger pants.
- I'm thankful my wife's employer picks up the bill when my 5 year old falls off the slide and needs medical attention. Many in this country are not so lucky and get saddled with medical debt.
- I'm thankful that my daughter gets a free lunch and breakfast every day at school. No kid should have to be hungry while learning.
- I'm thankful that we're all healthy and happy.
- I'm thankful for all my readers - all 19 of you. 😄
