I had just got in the door and the plea started:
“Can I go to the park?”
“Sure” I told her.
She clarified: “I want you to push me on the swings”
I did not want to push on the swings. I wanted to sit down.
Tears happened.
I pushed on the swings.
shoes kicked off because it’s more fun to swing in socks
It turns out I really enjoy our afternoons on the swings in the park. She tells me about her day in between the pleas to go higher and higher.
I know that the school had to turn around the bus today because they forgot a kid, there’s a new kid in the classroom on Monday and that she’s one of the shorter kids in her class and it was noisy in the class this week when the substitute teacher was there.
If you ask me, you can’t go much higher than that. :)
