I don’t have any idea what is going on with city budgets but all of a sudden we have multiple parks from which to choose from within a mile from home.
Today the plan was to do nothing. We partied all weekend last weekend due to BW’s birthday so this weekend the plans were to do as little as possible.
Of course, we did the opposite and the child was outside most of the day. We were just going to go to a different park with a playground that’s behind the public library but then we saw it from a distance.
ANOTHER NEW PLAYGROUND. It’s white and blue paint still shiny from not being snowed on and baked in the sunshine for decades like other parks.
How did we find this park ? From climbing a freaking mountain - that’s how.

I climbed that hill. I keep reminding her I’m the older Dad. Old Dads nap. Old Dads do not climb mountains.

I have no idea why the “mountain” is there. If I had to guess when they built the park they had a bunch of leftover dirt and just made a pile and threw some grass seed on it and now it’s used by little girls to fly down
So…playgrounds.

This new blue park has all the things - monkey bars and swings and towers to climb and most importantly a very annoying bell to ring.
The city really has too much money.
The only thing this playground is missing is the whistle.
